Michael Yat Kit Chung
I am a Electrical Systems Engineer working in the railway industry at Atkins. I also lead a team of graduates, apprentices and Year of Industry students with an electrical engineering background.
I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and have been living in the UK since 2006. I always see life in a positive way, such that I have been nicknamed "Happy" by my school friend because of the constant smile on my face! I love discovering new places and trying out new things, especially if it is of a culinary nature!
Since graduating from Imperial College London in 2015, I have been involved with projects in traction power modelling and design, Earthing & Bonding and EMC - these include Crossrail, Midland Metro, HS2, Maryland Purple Line and various Network Rail resignalling schemes.
I am a keen volunteer, both at work and in my spare time. I also co-lead the STEM Hub in the Croydon office, getting involved to get younger people interested in STEM subjects as well as the industry. Outside of work, I volunteer at the Postal Museum, London Transport Museum, as well as various Team London events.
